Darren serves as Acting President and CEO of the Guildfords Group of Companies. He is also Chair and CEO of Nantes Capital Inc. and the Nantes Group of Companies. Darren has owned and operated a number of industrial and commercial business operations in Atlantic Canada. He has served as a Board Director on numerous charitable, community and industry organizations including the Nova Scotia Securities Commission, the NS Design and Construction Institute, the NS Construction Labour Relations Association and the Construction Association of Nova Scotia. He currently serves on the Board of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and the Maritime NHL'ers for Kids Society, and is past National Chair of the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
Greg Mombourquette is a native of L’Ardoise, Nova Scotia. He is President and General Manager of Scotia Sheet Metal Inc. Greg plays a leading role in the daily operations of MSM Construction Limited and is also a Partner in the Guildford’s Group of Companies.
William serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Guildfords Group of Companies. A key member of Guildfords Senior Management Team, William was formerly CFO and then President of a successful steel fabrication and environmental services business catering to the oil and gas sector with operations in Atlantic Canada and Alberta. William brings 17 years of experience in the areas of accounting, finance, operations and business development. He has worked for large publicly traded and small and medium sized businesses. William attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Malcolm serves as our Vice President – Operations. Malcolm brings over 35 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry, both Onshore and Offshore, working in the Construction, Hook-up & Commissioning and Operations phases. Thirty of these years have been in Project Management specifically in the Insulation, Passive Fire Protection, Protective Coatings, Scaffolding, HVAC and Architectural Outfitting disciplines. He has extensive experience in Insulation contracting and in addition, has worked in the Construction, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Nuclear, Mining, Paper, and Shipbuilding industries over the span of his career to-date.
Greg is Business Development Manager for the Guildfords Group of Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and received his Certified Economic Developer (Ec.D) professional designation from the University of Waterloo. His background includes over 20 years in the field of economic development as well as management positions in manufacturing (emergency equipment and construction materials). Greg brings 30 years experience in business and industrial development to our Team and he currently resides in Dartmouth, NS.
Darren is Guildfords' Assistant Controller. He began his career with the company in 1991 and has been a valued part of the Guildfords Team for over 20 years. Darren hails from the South Shore and resides in Enfield, NS.
Steve has held a number of positions with the company and currently serves as our Corporate Safety Coordinator. He recently received his professional designation as a Certified Health and Safety Professional and oversees safety training and adherence to the Guildfords Safety Program throughout all member companies of the Group. Steve has been a valued Guildfords employee for over 25 years. Steve lives in Gaetz Brook, NS.
Lisa joined the Guildfords Group of Companies in June 2006 as part of our Administration Team. In May 2013 she was promoted to Payroll Officer for eight of our companies. Lisa graduated from a private career college with an Accounting and Computer Applications diploma. She is currently studying to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association.
Karen has been the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist for the Guildfords Group of Companies since March 2011. With over 25 years’ experience as an administrative assistant, Karen brings an extensive and diversified background to her position. She graduated from a business college with an Executive Secretary diploma and has taken many courses to enhance her skills, which most recently includes an online Medical Transcription course. When you visit or call our Head Office in Dartmouth, Karen will be the first person to greet you.
Ann Marie has over 30 years’ experience in office accounting related activities, including account receivables, account payables, and payroll. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration and is a Certified Payroll Practitioner (PCP). Ann joined the administrative team in June 2013 and resides with her family in Valley, N.S.
Tom Hartigan serves as Fleet Manager for the Guildfords Group of Companies. Tom has been involved in the automotive industry for over 40 years, both as an entrepreneur and key staff person in several leading automotive enterprises in the Halifax Region.
Tom joined the team at the Guildfords Group in 2016. A native of Sydney Mines, Tom resides with his family in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
